If you’re looking to enter the field or make your next career move, understanding the core requirements is the first step. Here’s a breakdown of what companies in Bangkok are looking for in 2025.

Requirement #1: A Foundation in Core Hard Skills

These are the technical, teachable abilities that form the bedrock of any digital marketing role. While you don’t need to be an expert in everything, a solid understanding of these three areas is non-negotiable.

  • Performance Marketing: This is the science of paid advertising. Employers want to see that you understand the mechanics of platforms like Google Ads and Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram). Can you set up a campaign, target an audience, and understand key metrics like CPC (Cost Per Click) and CPA (Cost Per Acquisition)? In Bangkok, experience with ads on e-commerce marketplaces like Lazada and Shopee is also a huge plus.
  • SEO & Content: You need to understand how people find information organically. This means knowing the fundamentals of Search Engine Optimization (SEO)—how to do keyword research, optimize a webpage, and build links.
