The first American elections The cause of Frank Fritz’s death has been revealed, almost two weeks after his death at the age of 60.
Fritz, who hosted the popular History Channel series for years before retiring in March 2020 after back surgery, reportedly died of “post-traumatic sequelae of cerebral infarction” – a stroke.
According to his death certificate, found by TMZstroke was the result of vascular disease.
The tabloid also added that Fritz was suffering from aortic stenosis, a chronic condition that restricts blood flow to the heart and the rest of the body, which is also reported to have been the cause of his death.
The reality star’s death on September 30 came two years after she suffered a debilitating stroke in 2022 and was reportedly placed in respite care.
His death was confirmed by his former assistant Mike Wolfe in an Instagram post shared on October 1.
“I’ve known Frank for more than half my life and what you’ve seen on TV has always been what I’ve seen, a dreamer who was as compassionate as he was funny. .Just like he was on camera, Frank had a way of reaching the hearts of many by being himself,” Wolfe wrote alongside a photo of the two of them.
“Who would have dreamed that we would be sharing the crew room of a white cargo van in front of millions of people interested in our events,” he continued. “Before the program we used to go on one trip to places where we didn’t know there was a destination and we were eager to find something interesting and historical.
“We have been on countless trips and shared many miles and I feel lucky to have been by his side when he took his final journey. I love you friend and I will miss you so much I know you are in a better place. “
Born in Davenport, Iowa, Fritz was best known for leading the way American electionsA reality show that followed him and Wolfe as they criss-crossed America in search of rare items to sell in their antique shops in Iowa and Tennessee.

She eventually left the show in March 2020 after undergoing back surgery. However, despite being vocal about his desire to return to the show, it was revealed in July 2021 that he had been replaced by Wolfe’s brother Rob.
“Frank made a movie American elections for more than ten years. We will always remember the ‘beard maker’ and his endless search for vintage motorcycles and bicycles,” The History Channel and American elections production company Cineflix Production said in a joint statement after his death.
